“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.” ~Unknown

I’ve been missing for over a year.

Missing from blogging, missing online from my readers, and missing as a part-time author.

I’ve been here in the background, and I’ve been thinking about writing this blog post for a while, but I just couldn’t do it.

A lot has happened in my life.  Good.  Great.  Awesome.  And not so great.

To say I wasn’t feeling the urge to write this blog is an understatement.

But, I’m back.  I’m no longer missing.  Here’s the new me, and a quickie recap of my last year.  Hold on tight. Grab a drink and a seat.

•    We lost our 88 year-old dad.
•    We had 3 sons graduate from college within the same week.
•    I moved permanently from Texas to Florida, leaving wonderful friends and family behind.
•    I got married!
•    I moved to the beach.
•    I started a new sales job.
•    I published two new books.

Whew!

It’s out there now.  I also figured out how to stop my downward spiral of non-blogging and take responsibility for ‘fixin’, as Texans will say, myself as a writer.

Now, it’s done.

Finally.

I will have plenty of blogging material to share soon.  Every chapter in our lives has tales.  And if my stories can help any of those in the same situation, either as an author or in any other facet of your life, then I’m glad.

I found the courage to start blogging again.  So this is me, a creative writer… back at it.  I was lost, now I’m found.  I wanted you to know what I was going through this past year because I know we all have a lot on our plates these days.  We have to juggle family, friends, work, hobbies, and careers all at once.

The moral of this quick “hello” blog is that if you feel you have to be a Superwoman or Superman all the time, you don’t.  Be you.  And most of all, be happy!
